Any person keen with the on goings within the National Police Service for the past four years, must have observed that the National Police Service is on a reforms trajectory and has already undergone tremendous changes and transformation aimed at improving service delivery to Kenyans. Ranging from infrastructural development to human capital development, tooling, kitting and equipping Police officers to respond to modern-day security challenges, addressing the social welfare of officers among other changes, it is clear as day that the National Police Service is headed towards better days.

NPS UNVEILS STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES FOR PREVENTION AND RESPONSE TO GENDER BASED VIOLENCE (2019-01-24).

The National Police Service (NPS) has unveiled Standard Operating Procedures for the prevention and response to Gender Based Violence.

Inspector General Joseph Boinnet who yesterday launched the document described the uniform approach in the prevention of Gender Based Violence, as a significant milestone towards transforming the Police to provide people centred policing service.

STATEMENT BY HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT UHURU KENYATTA (2019-01-16).
My fellow citizens, Kenya was struck yesterday by a gang of criminals who hoped to terrorize our people by committing acts of murder and mayhem. I can now confirm that at as about one hour ago, the security operation at Dusit complex is over and all the terrorists eliminated.  As of this moment, we have confirmation that fourteen innocent lives were lost by the terrorists, with others injured. We are grieving as a country this morning; my heart, and that of every Kenyan, goes out to the innocent men and women violated by senseless violence.
