Police Hot Lines


The National Police Service, Athletics Championship, has received a boost after receiving sponsorship from three organizations totalling to 2.2 million.Huawei Kenya Limited, donated one million shillings while Police Sacco gave shs. 700,000 towards the three day athletics championships that kick off tomorrow at Nyayo stadium.

The Coca-Cola Company also donated water and soda worth Ksh 500,000 towards the competitions that will bring together all the police services and their formations to compete amongst themselves with a view of selecting a team in preparation for the Athletics Kenya Championships slated for early next month.

The Inspector General Mr. Joseph Boinnet who received the donations today at Jogoo house hailed the sponsors for the donations that will enhance the athletics championships in the service.

He underscored the importance of sports in the service as it enables officers to remain physically fit to discharge their mandate besides representing the country in world sporting activities.

The IG expressed confidence that during the Athletics Kenya Championships scheduled for early next months, many police officers will be selected to form team Kenya, as it has been the case before, to represent the country during the World Athletics which will take place in London in August this year
