Police Hot Lines
Police Officers who have served in the same rank for the last 15 years have a reason to smile after the Inspector General Mr Hilary Mutyambai Promised to promote them to the next rank in consultation  with the National Police Service Commission. 
Mr Mutyambai says there is no reason such officers cannot be promoted if their records are clean. 
He said,  it is unfair for some officers to receive accelerated promotions  at the expense of other many officers who tirelessly work to provide safety and security to the country. 
Mr Mutyambai was speaking today during the graduation of Assistant Inspector Generals of Police who had undergone Regional Commanders Strategic Leadership Development Program  at the National Police Service Senior Staff College -Loresho Campus Nairobi. 
The Inspector General hailed officers who have always continued to provide safety and security to the country despite working under stress full conditions.
He promised to improve their welfare and ensure that  they are motivated  while fulfilling their mandate.
Police Officers he said, should always execute their mandate in strict adherence to the rule of law and that those in the contrally are under surveillance of the Internal Affairs unit and the  Independent Policing Oversight Authority. 
The Inspector General appealed to the officers who graduated to inject  new leadership skills into the service with a view to stamp out corruption and other malpractices in the service. 
He hailed the UK government for supporting the training program in the country through the UK College of Policing adding that the continued support in training will go a long way in enhancing professionalism. efficiency and effectiveness in-service delivery.
