ENFORCEMENT OF COVID-19 PROTOCOLS AND REGULATIONS.
As you are all aware, there has been a sharp increase in Covid-19 cases across the country. So as to address this challenge, and in line with yesterday’s presidential directive on the enforcement of necessary measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 amongst persons living in Kenya, I wish to inform the public as follows:
- The National Police Service will work closely with the National Government Administration Officers and County Governments Enforcement Teams to ensure total compliance with the MOH guidelines and protocols to counter further spread of corona Virus.
- That all police officers across the country have been instructed to enforce the Covid-19 protocols and Regulations in strict compliance with the rule of law.
- I have directed National Police Service officers to enforce Curfew orders from 10:00PM to 4:00AM without fear or favor and with strict adherence to the standard operating procedures(SOPs)
- Accordingly, we appeal to everyone to wear face masks, keep social distance while in public places and to avoid unnecessary travels.
- Owners of Restaurants, Bars and any other places open to public, are advised to close by 9:00PM.
- The NPS shall support County Governments to close down Restaurants, Bars and shops which will not adhere to the set regulations.
We appeal to Members of the public to cooperate with the police by adhering to the set covid-19 protocols and regulations.
Thank you.
