DIG MASENGELI OPENS CHANGAI POLICE STATION IN MURANG’A COUNTY

Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service, Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, today officiated the opening of Changai Police Station in Maragua Constituency, Murang’a County. He presided over the ceremony on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja, marking a significant milestone in efforts to enhance security and uphold law and order in the region. The station will play a critical role in deterring criminal activity, contributing to a safer and more secure community. It will also help combat issues such as the distribution and abuse of illicit drugs and second-generation alcohol—which pose serious health and social risks.

In his remarks, DIG Masengeli appreciated the support of the area MP. Hon. Mary Wamaua Waithira Njoroge in building the station through the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF). He also acknowledged the vital role of a multi-agency approach to security and expressed appreciation for the support of local leaders and National Government Administration Officers. Emphasising the need for strong partnerships, he called for open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect between law enforcement agencies and the public.
