IG KANJA ATTENDS THANKSGIVING CEREMONY FOR NPSC CHAIRPERSON DR. AMANI YUDA KOMORA IN TANA RIVER COUNTY

The Inspector General of the National Police Service, Mr.Douglas Kanja, yesterday attended a thanksgiving ceremony held in honour of the Chairperson of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC), Dr.Amani Yuda Komora, in Tana River County. The event was graced by the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, H.E. Dr.Musalia Mudavadi, who was the chief guest. Prime Cabinet Secretary Dr.Musalia Mudavadi commended the people of Tana River for honouring Dr Komora, describing him as a dedicated and capable leader. 

He lauded the National Police Service for its continued commitment to maintaining peace and security across the country and applauded Kenyan officers serving in Haiti for their exemplary work. During the event, the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen, assured the residents of Tana River County of the government’s continued efforts to strengthen security in the region, including the deployment of more officers to enhance service delivery.

Speaking at the event, the Inspector General of Police, who was accompanied by the Director of Criminal Investigations, Mr.Mohamed Amin, joined leaders, dignitaries, and residents in celebrating Dr.Komora’s remarkable leadership and service to the nation. The National Police Service congratulates Dr.Amani Yuda Komora and reaffirms its continued partnership with the National Police Service Commission in upholding professionalism, discipline, and service to the people of Kenya.

Also in attendance were the Governor of Tana River County, Hon. Dhadho Godana; Tana River Senator, Hon. Danson Mungatana; Secretary General of COTU, Dr Francis Atwoli; amongst other distinguished guests.
