IG KANJA HOLDS CONSULTATIVE SECURITY MEETING WITH NPS COMMANDERS
The Inspector-General of the National Police Service (NPS), Mr. Douglas Kanja, yesterday convened a consultative security meeting with NPS commanders from Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado, and Machakos Counties at the Police Pavilion in Nairobi. The meeting served as a forum for senior commanders to review the Service's preparedness, analyse emerging crime trends, and develop strategic solutions. Mr. Kanja emphasized that the safety and security of all Kenyans—residents and visitors, particularly in Nairobi and its environs—is of paramount importance. He encouraged them to work closely together and share experiences to enhance their capacity to tackle emerging criminal activities within their jurisdictions.
Furthermore, he assured the commanders of unwavering support for officers who operate within the confines of the law. IG Kanja also expressed confidence in their ability to deliver on their mandate, urging them to combat crime decisively and enhance public safety and security. In response, the commanders committed to upholding law and order within their jurisdictions.
