IG KANJA HOSTS DELEGATION FROM CHINA

Inspector General of Police Mr. Douglas Kanja today hosted a Chinese delegation at his Jogoo House ‘A’ office. The delegation was led by Mr. Liu Guozhou, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province and Director General of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Public Security. Discussions focused on areas of mutual concern, including cooperation in counter-terrorism, cybersecurity, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and transnational organized crime. Mr. Guozhou expressed his gratitude to NPS for the sustained collaboration and assured the IG of China’s continued support.
IG Kanja provided insights into the National Police Service’s (NPS) ongoing transformational agenda, emphasizing the need to leverage technology to enhance efficient and effective public service delivery. He also expressed gratitude for the Chinese Government’s support, highlighting its role as a key security partner—particularly in training, equipment provision, and infrastructure development. The Vice Governor was accompanied by the Deputy Director General of Guangdong Provincial Department of Public Security, Mr. Huang Guoihui, Deputy Director of Political Division of Guangdong Provincial Department of Public Security, Mr. Li Zhixiong, Director of International Cooperation Division of Guangdong Provincial Department of Public Security, Yan Bo, Deputy Director of General Office of Guangdong Provincial Department of Public Security, Li Pengcheng, Section Chief of International Cooperation Division of Guangdong Provincial Department of Public Security, Mr. Liang Zhaodong among others. 
Also in attendance were the NPS Secretary Administration/Accounting officer, Ms Bernice Lemedeket, Director, Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Mr. Mohamed I. Amin, Principal Deputy to the IG, Mr. Mathew Kutoh, SAIG, Principal Deputy to the DIG-KPS, Mr. Patrick Tito, SAIG, Principal Deputy to the DIG-APS, Dr. Masoud M. Mwinyi, SAIG, and Director of Corporate Communication and Spokesperson Mr. Muchiri Nyaga, AIG among other senior officers.
