ONE ARRESTED AND NARCOTIC DRUGS SEIZED IN GESONSO, KISII SOUTH SUB-COUNTY
Yesterday, Police officers from Gesonso Police Station, acting on a tip-off, mounted a roadblock along the Kisii–Migori Highway targeting a suspicious motor vehicle. The vehicle defied orders to stop and drove over metal spikes before being intercepted after a brief chase. One suspect, aged 43, was arrested as he attempted to flee. Upon searching the vehicle, five and a half sacks of dry green plant material suspected to be cannabis sativa, with an estimated street value of Ksh. 4 million, were recovered.
The vehicle was towed to the station, and the suspect was placed in custody pending processing and arraignment.
