ONE ARRESTED, GAME TROPHIES SEIZED IN MIGORI

A joint operation conducted today by officers from the National Police Service (NPS) and the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) led to the arrest of an individual in Migori County who was found in illegal possession of seven elephant tusks—a serious offence under Kenya's wildlife conservation laws. The operation highlights the sustained efforts by security agencies to combat wildlife crime and protect endangered species, such as elephants, which continue to face threats from poaching and the illegal ivory trade. Investigations are ongoing, and a manhunt has been launched for a second suspect who evaded arrest during the operation.
