POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED MEMBERS OF NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL GANG IN KWALE

On 1 August 2025, police officers from Lunga Lunga Police Station acted on a credible tip-off regarding the presence of a notorious criminal gang in the Ngeneni area, within Lunga Lunga Township. One of the individuals, believed to be a key gang member, is wanted on an active arrest warrant for murder and had reportedly been spotted in the company of his accomplices in the area. The officers swiftly moved to the location and raided a single-room house, where the suspects were found armed with machetes. They were also smoking cannabis sativa at the time of the raid. 

A thorough search of the premises led to the recovery of approximately 257 grams of cannabis sativa, five machetes, and a black Tanzanian-registered motorcycle (registration number MC890), suspected to have been used in various criminal activities. The suspects were arrested during the operation and placed in police custody, pending arraignment. The National Police Service commends members of the public for providing information that led to the successful operation.
