RPC COAST HOLDS ENGAGEMENT FORUM WITH BODABODA RIDERS IN KILIFI
The Coast Regional Police Commander, Mr. Ali Nuno,AIG held a highly productive engagement forum with Kilifi's Bodaboda riders at the Chiefs Ground in Kilifi Township on Tuesday, 14th October 2025. The forum, which brought together leaders from Kilifi and over three hundred Bodaboda riders, deliberated on a wide range of security matters. These included incorporating Bodaboda riders into community policing at every level, enhancing cooperation and partnership between the security agencies and Bodaboda riders, and sharing intelligence information critical to curbing crime.
Mr. Nuno encouraged the Bodaboda riders to operate within the confines of the law and to observe rules and regulations at all times. He warned that any violation would not be tolerated. He assured the riders that the service would take stern action against rogue police officers found to be engaging in corrupt practices. He also ordered the release of all impounded motorcycles that have no pending cases to their owners. Additionally, he directed police officers to intensify patrols in the region to deter criminal activities.
Present at the forum were the Coast Regional Administration Police Service Commander, Mr.John Macharia, CP; the Coast Regional Criminal Investigation Officer, Mr.Daniel Kandie, CP; the Kilifi County Criminal Investigation Officer, Mr. Robert Kiige, SSP; the Kilifi North Sub-County Police Commander, Mr.Stanley Tunui, ASP; and the Kilifi County Transport Officer, Ms. Lucy Muriithi, ASP, among others.
