POLICE NAB TWO SUSPECTED CANNABIS TRAFFICKERS IN MOTEMORABU, ISEBANIA
On 13th August 2025, officers from the National Police Service at Motemorabu Police Post acted on an intelligence tip-off from a member of the public and intercepted a motorcycle with a rider and one pillion passenger carrying a black bag. Upon searching the bag, they discovered sixty-seven (67) large rolls of cannabis sativa, weighing 5.5 kg with an estimated street value of KSh 165,000. The two suspects were arrested and escorted to Motemorabu Police Post, later transferred to Isebania Police Station pending processing and arraignment. The motorcycle and the bag were secured as exhibits at the same facility. The National Police Service remains steadfast in combating the distribution and use of illegal drugs across the country.
