Kenya Police Football Club and Kenya Police Bullets FC hosted a glamorous joint end-of-season gala on, 7 July 2026, at the Serena Hotel to celebrate a historic football calendar. The double celebration honoured the Kenya Police Bulletsβ spectacular FKF Womenβs Premier League 2025/26 title triumph. It also recognized the menβs side, Police FC, for securing a strong third-place finish in the FKF Premier League and a runners-up spot in the FKF Mozzart Bet Cup. Representing the chief guest and club patron, Dr. Raymond Omollo, the Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service (DIG-KPS) and club deputy patron, Mr. Eliud Lagat, led senior police leadership and football dignitaries in rewarding outstanding sporting excellence.Β
The gala highlighted individual brilliance across both squads, rewarding players who drove their teams to historic heights. Among those honoured were Abud Omar Khamis, who won the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Defender of the Year and Goal of the Season awards, and Yves Koutiama, who bagged the Golden Boot and Signing of the Season awards from the menβs team. On the ladiesβ side, Margaret Kunihira was honoured with the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Golden Boot and Chairmanβs Awards, while Tereza Engesha received the Goal of the Season and Signing of the Season awards, among other winners.Β
Speaking at the occasion, DIG-KPS Mr. Eliud Lagat delivered warm congratulations from the Inspector General Β of Police, Mr. Douglas Kanja, noting that both clubs have cemented themselves as the most recognized football brands in Kenya. He committed to continued club investment and challenged both squads to maintain high discipline in order to project Kenyan football onto the international stage. Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service (DIG-APS), Mr. Gilbert Masengeli, commended the technical benches and playing units for their hard work. He cited discipline and deep teamwork as the core driving forces behind the successful season.Β
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Hussein Rashid Mohammed expressed gratitude to the Police leadership for their unwavering support of football infrastructure in the country, while advising players to remain disciplined professionals. Present at the gala were the clubsβ chairman and Commandant of the National Police College, Main Campus, Kiganjo, Mr. Nyale Munga, SAIG; the TPU Commandant, Ms. Lydia Ligami, AIG; the Commandant of the Presidential Escort Unit (PEU), Mr. William Sawe, CP; the KPS OC Sports, Mr. Tom Okoth, CP; and representatives from sponsor organizations.
