SEIZURE OF SUSPECTED CANNABIS AND ARREST OF SUSPECTS IN KISII

Earlier today, 15 August 2025, a multi-agency security team led by the Kisii County Police Commander conducted a successful raid in Jokivilla, Nyamataro area, Kisii Township, targeting suspected drug trafficking activities. During the operation, the team seized seventy-nine (79) brooms of suspected cannabis sativa, along with rolling papers (Rizla). Six suspects were arrested and are currently assisting police with investigations pending arraignment. The main suspect, who is already facing similar charges in court and is out on a KSh 5 million bond, managed to evade arrest. Police have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.
